Our client, Boatworks are seeking a full-time Skilled Yard Hand to join their busy team.
To support the Yard Team in the smooth running and operations within the boatyard and workshop. Carrying out general vessel maintenance to a high standard whilst working within Health and safety regulations and following the correct procedures.
Role Responsibilities:
- To assist the yard team in all aspects of yard maintenance
- To assist the yard team in all aspects of boat repairs as required
- To assist with equipment maintenance as directed
- To assist with ramp work
- Pressure cleaning boats as required
- To assist with boat moves within the yard as directed
- To assist with safely shoring up boats
- work with and shadow key members of the team as directed
- Ensure you are recording 100% of your working time (chargeability rate of 70%)
- Work on building good relationships between the Boatyard and the Customer and be an ambassador for the company
- Work with customers to understand their needs
- Conducting final handover checks back to customers to gauge their feedback and satisfaction
- Increasing the reputation of Boatworks
- Any other duties as and when reasonably required
Knowledge, skills and experience required:
- Health and Safety training as required
- Attention to detail
