Our client, CACEIS are seeking an experienced Fund Accountant to join their team in Jersey.
CACEIS provides fund administration services in Jersey to a wide range of clients. The services include Fund Valuations, Registrar & Transfer Agency, Corporate Secretarial and Financial Accounting. The post holder will be responsible for the efficient and accurate accounting and administration of closed and open ended investment companies, unit trusts and limited partnerships principally for private equity, property and infrastructure funds. This person will also be required to act as first point of contact for some client relationships.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The main duties of this role will include but not be limited to the following:
- Preparation and oversight of monthly / quarterly management accounts for a portfolio of clients
- Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with UK GAAP / US GAAP / IFRS / AUS
- Management of key deliverables in accordance with SLA’s or equivalent
- Calculation of management fees , carried interest and distribution amounts , waterfall calculations
- Dealing with year end audits and auditor queries
- Ensuring compliance with client documentation and CACEIS processes and procedures
- Answering / investigating client queries
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures
- Support ad-hoc departmental project work
- Keep up to date with technical developments in the Fund industry

- Flexibility required to operate at this level in terms of time and travel (domestic and international when required)
- Based in Jersey office
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Required
- Undertaking a professional qualification, ideally ACA, ACCA or equivalent
- Ability to prepare final accounts from source documentation
- Completer / finisher – ability to see tasks through to the end
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Good motivational skills
- Good presentation skills
Preferred
- Professional accounting qualification or studying towards an accounting qualification
- Knowledge of UK GAAP / US GAAP / IFRS, although training will be given
- Knowledge of private equity, property and infrastructure funds advantageous.
- Knowledge of Jersey fund structures and regulatory requirements
